CO-OP NEWS

My family has been battling a cold/flu for the past two weeks so I have gotten a little behind on co-op stuff. I usually answer emails and write the weblog/newsletter at night after everyone has gone to bed but lately all I want to do is sleep! In case you forgot to order this week due to lack of the usual co-op email, I will keep The Market open until 4:00pm this afternoon.

Anyone that knows me will tell you that I have a hard time asking for help. I like to work independently and most of the time I can tackle anything I set my mind to. This week has reminded me that the co-op is supposed to be a cooperative effort. I know that I need help but I am not sure exactly what I need or who would be willing to step in. Therefore, I would like to call a co-op meeting at my house on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 6:00pm. At this meeting I will explain exactly what it takes to run the co-op, show you how the backend of the website works, and we can discuss ideas for the future of the co-op. Hopefully some of you will identify areas that you can help out in. This meeting is open to all co-op members so even if you don’t think you have the time or ability to help on an ongoing basis, you are welcome to come just to see how the co-op works and voice your opinion on future orders or events.

FRESH & LOCAL

Destiny Organics

I have decided to discontinue the Destiny Organics boxes. The quality was good, it just takes a lot of time (and gas) to pick them up every week and the price wasn’t that great. I am looking forward to getting more local farmers to post their produce in The Market as the growing season gets going. In the mean time, I will share with you a couple of other sources I have found for produce. They are not affiliated with the Melody Lane Co-op in any way, but I have tried them myself in the past and have been very pleased with their products.

GROUP BUYS

Mother Earth Meats

I bought some extra cuts of chicken and pork from Mother Earth Meats last time we ordered from them. I have finally added them to The Market under the category GROUP BUYS. Even if you have already ordered this week, you are welcome to place another order. All of the Mother Earth Meats products currently listed will be availabe for pick up this Thursday.

Green Pasture

I have a love/hate relationship with Green Pasture. Their products are awesome. So awesome that they are in very high demand. Most of the time they have to limit how many bottles any one person (or group) can buy at a time. Whenever they lift those restrictions the products sell out very quickly. That makes it very difficult to order from them since you never really know what you are going to get. We are going on three weeks now since we placed a group order and we have only gotten half of what we ordered. They say the rest will ship as soon as it is back in stock. I will email each of you individually when your items have arrived.

It may be a while before we order from them again but the owner of Green Pasture will be a guest speaker at the local Weston A. Price Conference on March 16th. He will also have some of their products for sale at the conference for a huge discount. You will get the best deals if you can pay cash, so if you are planning on attending the conference be sure to bring cash!

WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Below is a list of upcoming co-op events. I will try to get them added to The Market as soon as I can. I am also thinking about using a service like evite to keep track of RSVP’s. I will let you know what I come up with. Go ahead and mark your calendars, more details will be availabe soon.

February 21, 7:00pm – Kombucha Workshop
February 28, 6:00pm – Co-op Meeting
March 7, 3:00-7:00pm – Rendering Lard/Tallow Demonstration
March 14, 7:00pm – Yogurt Workshop
March 21, 1:00pm – Making Soap & Lotion with tallow
April 4, 7:00pm – Sauerkraut & Fermented Vegetables Workshop

And don’t forget about the local Weston A. Price Conference on March 16th!
Register soon because it WILL sell out – http://buildingnt2013.eventbrite.com

February 4, 2013 - Produce Boxes, Bio-Kult, and Upcoming Events

Visit The Market any time between now and 7:00pm Tuesday evening to place your order.

Pick up is every Thursday, 3:00pm – 7:00pm, at Sandra’s home in Roswell.

FRESH & LOCAL

Don’t forget to order your produce boxes today!
Produce Box orders must be submitted by Monday evening – instead of the usual Tuesday for everything else.

There are three box types (vegetable, fruit, or mixed) and three sizes of each. They are listed in The Market under FRESH & LOCAL > Destiny Organics.

We are still in our trial period for Destiny Organics. I am going to wait a couple more weeks to decide for sure if we will continue ordering from them. I was happy with the quality and selection but, so far, not enough people have shown an interest to make it worth my time. We need to get up to 20 boxes to qualify for free delivery. In the mean time I have to drive down to the State Farmers’ Market in Forest Park to pick up or pay a delivery fee. The prices listed in The Market include that delivery fee. As more people order, the price will go down since we are splitting the delivery fee.

GROUP BUYS

No new group buys this week. There are still a few pantry staples listed in the GROUP BUYS category, left over from previous orders.

Bio-Kult
In the past we have done group orders of Bio-Kult probiotics. This is the probiotic formulated my Dr. Natahsa Campbell-McBride to go along with her GAPS protocol. I just came across single packages of Bio-Kult on Amazon.com for $31.79 with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. This price is lower than we ever got as a group. I will not go through the trouble of posting it in The Market (and therefore having to mark it up to pay our website fees) but if you click on that link above and order through Amazon, the co-op will get a small kick-back :)

If you follow that link and the price is higher than $31.79 please let me know. Sometimes Amazon does strange things, charging different prices to different people based on their spending habits. And if, for some reason, you are not able to order from Amazon I will consider buying a case again and posting them in The Market but I will have to mark it up to cover my costs.

WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

The Bone Broth workshop last week went great! I enjoyed meeting new people and sharing my information with them. I am looking forward to our next workshop on February 21 – Making Kombucha Tea. Hope to see you there!

I have a couple of other ideas I want to throw out. From our last Mother Earth Meats order I got 10 lbs of beef fat and 10 lbs of pork fat. I am planning on rendering them into lard. If anyone is interested in learning how to do this please let me know. If there is enough interest, I might just make that another workshop.

Also, once the beef fat is rendered I want to make soap and lotion with it. I don’t have a lot of experience with soap making so if any of you out there would like to lead a workshop and show us I will be happy to host that at my house as well.

FARM SPOTLIGHT

East West Farm

My friends over at East West Farm in Marietta have some fun events coming up that you might be interested in. They are a small family farm, working hard to be sustainable and produce the cleanest, most nutrient-dense food possible. I enjoy going over there whenever I can and will be attending these events:

Mar 9, 2013 – Biodaynamic Compost Workshop
Mar 23, 2013 – Spring Fling Farm Tour and Easter Egg Hunt
Apr 6, 2013 – Chicken Processing Class

Read more about the farm and register for events at their website http://eastwestfarm.wordpress.com/events

They are also taking orders for their upcoming chicken CSA. The chickens are raised on pasture and given only organic, soy-free feed. Here are all the details. I have already signed up for the CSA so I will be going over there to pick up my own chicken once a month. I encourage you to go see the farm for yourself but, if you decide to do the CSA too, I will be happy to pick up your chicken and bring it back to my house in Roswell. Once you have signed up just email me to let me know.

January 26, 2013 - NEW! Produce Boxes

Visit The Market any time between now and 7:00pm Tuesday to place your order for this week.

(Produce Box orders must be sumbitted by 7:00pm Monday evening)

Pick up is every Thursday, 3:00pm – 7:00pm, at Sandra’s home in Roswell.

FRESH & LOCAL

NEW – Produce Boxes!

I mentioned last week that I am in search of a source for fresh, organic produce. After researching many options, I have found one local company that just might work – Destiny Organics. They are the only certified organic wholesale distributor that operates out of the Atlanta State Farmers’ Market in Forest Park, GA. (The oldest and largest farmer’s market in Ga). They try to source their produce locally and/or regionally whenever possible and everything is certified organic. They sell their products “CSA style” in various size boxes. By “CSA style” I mean you don’t get to choose what comes in your box. Every Friday they send out a list of what will be in the box the following week. No substitutions are allowed. It changes week to week and season to season. Unlike a traditional CSA, you do not have to pay up front and you are not locked into a 2 – 3 month commitment. You choose each week if you want to order a box or not.

I don’t know for sure yet if this is going to be a good fit for our co-op. I want to try them out for a couple of weeks to see how everything goes. I will still focus on building relationships with the small farms closest to us but Destiny Organics may be a way to supplement the things that are not available from our local farms. If you decide to order a box this week or next week I will be asking you for your feedback on whether or not we should continue ordering from them.

See the box descriptions and prices listed below. The current prices are a little higher than I was hoping for, but these are based on an estimate of 5 boxes per week for our co-op. If our total number of boxes per week goes up we will see a discount on the price per box.

Produce box orders must be submitted by Monday at 7:00pm

Pick up from my home the following Thursday during normal co-op hours (3:00pm – 7:00pm)

Produce boxes are listed in The Market under category FRESH & LOCAL > Destiny Organics.

FRESH & LOCAL

Available in The Market this week:

Carlton Farm ~ www.CarltonFarm.com
milk, cheese, eggs, honey, and meat

Looking for Other Sources
I am looking into the possibility of offering organic fruits and vegetables to the co-op. While I try to buy locally as much as possible, there is just not a lot growing in Georgia right now. If you know of any local farmers with fresh food to sell, please send them my way. In the mean time, how many of you are interested in a CSA type box of mixed produce? It would all be organic but some things would have to come from farther away, possibly even the west coast. The main advantage here is that you will save money as compared to shopping at Whole Foods and get a higher quality than your typical grocery store. If this sounds like something you would be interested in please send me a quick email (to Sandra at melodylanecoop@yahoo.com) so I can get a preliminary count.

GROUP BUYS

Green Pasture ~ www.GreenPasture.org
fermented cod liver oil, high vitamin butter oil, skate liver oil, coconut oil, and more

Order by: Tuesday, January 22nd
Estimated delivery date: Tuesday, February 5th

Great News! Cinnamon Tingle cod liver oil / butter oil blend is now in stock and Green Pasture has lifted the restrictions on how many bottles of butter oil products we can buy per month. For those of you that missed the last order or could not get what you wanted – go ahead and order now. Green Pasture products are listed in The Market under GROUP BUYS.

Place your order by Tuesday at 7:00pm. You can pay online with a credit card or drop off cash or check at my house any time between now and Thursday evening. There is a locked drop-box on the wall of my carport if I am not home. Once all the checks have cleared I will submit our group order. It typically takes two weeks from the time you place your order until you can come pick it up. I will contact you via email once our package has arrived.

Other Miscellaneous Items
I found some good deals while shopping for my family last week. I went ahead and bought a few things by the case so I could share with the co-op. These items are listed in The Market under GROUP BUYS > Other and will be available for pick up this Thursday during normal co-op hours (3:00pm – 7:00pm). Also, if you would like to try a sample before you buy I will be happy to share some of my own with you.

Coconut Secret – Coconut Aminos
$6.00 / 8 oz. bottle
Organic, raw, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and vegan. Use Coconut Aminos like soy sauce in dressings, marinades, sautes, and with sushi. Certified organic raw coconut sap is naturally aged and blended with sun dried, mineral-rich sea salt. No other ingredients are added. Coconut sap is very low glycemic (GI of only 35), is an abundant source of amino acids, minerals, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins, and has a nearly neutral pH. Small batches ensure that organic Coconut Aminos is a raw, enzymatically alive product that never exceeds the temperatures of an average summer day in the topics. http://www.coconutsecret.com/aminos2.html

Coconut Chips from Wilderness Family Naturals
$7.00 / 1 lb. Bag
The good people at Wilderness Family Naturals worked for months to develop a natural, dried coconut that they could still call “raw.” They start with wild coconuts. The coconut is removed from the shells, and washed in pure, filtered water (no chlorine is present). The coconut is then shredded and slowly dehydrated at 98.6° F (37° C). The result is shredded, raw coconut that tastes great, has a wonderful texture, and contains the nutrients found in coconut. http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/product/CDUCO1.php

SeaSnax – Classic Olive
$3.00 / 5 sheets – Net Wt 0.54 oz.
SeaSnax is a nutrient-packed roasted seaweed snack which is vegan, gluten free and Non-GMO Project verified. It is made using 100% olive oil and just a pinch of sea salt. This vegetable of the sea is all natural with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. SeaSnax is a healthy & delicious snack for you and your family. It tastes great right out of the bag – just rip it up and chomp it down! Or, you can use it to make rice rolls, put into your favorite soup or salad. http://www.seasnax.com

WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Wow! The Bone Broth workshop is quite popular. I have so many people signed up I decided to add a second one. There will be two workshops (covering the same information) one on Thursday, Janyary 31st and one the following evening Friday, February 1st. Both are 7:00pm-9:00pm at my home. If you have already reserved your spot for Thursday you are welcome to switch to Friday if that is better for you. Please just let me know.

What’s better than a two hour workshop in my home? How about a whole day of workshops dedicated to traditional food. Mark your calendars…

The Atlanta area Weston A. Price Foundation is pleased to announce:

Building Nourishing Traditions

Saturday, March 16th
All day (exact times TBD)

Rancho Alegre Farm
2225 Givens Rd, Dacula, GA 30019
(registration website to be announced soon)

This fabulous event will focus on the practical aspects of finding and preparing traditional, nutrient-dense foods. During the morning, we will have a series of lectures on the basics of WAPF principles, the importance of cod liver oil (by Dave Wetzel of Green Pasture), and a farmers’ panel to discuss sourcing of great foods and interactions with local farms. After lunch, the afternoon will be packed with workshops demonstrating various preparations of nutrient-dense foods.

At this point, though, we need some help! We need a number of volunteers to either teach a workshop (potential topics listed below), or to help out with other aspects of the conference. We have a lot of knowledgeable, enthusiastic folks out there who can lend their expertise or their energies to this event. Here are some of our needs:

Workshop presenters – potential topics (we need 10-12 presenters):

  • fermented veggies
  • bone broth
  • dairy – cultured (& perhaps raw as well)
  • grains
  • nuts & seeds
  • dealing with food sensitivities
  • condiments (mayo, ketchup, etc)
  • oils (maybe discussed with condiments?)
  • fermented drinks
  • cooking with liver/organ meats

Additional volunteers needed (some before the conference, most the day of):

  • parking crew (2-4 people)
  • setup crew (3-4 people)
  • cleanup crew (4-5 people)
  • lunch rearrangement crew (moving chairs around at lunch to shift from theater seating to workshops)
  • WAPF table staff (6-8 people on rotations)
  • AV equipment procurer (borrowing or renting – our funds will cover rental)

All volunteers will get discounted admission to the conference; workshop presenters and other high-responsibility volunteer positions will get free admission. If you are willing to help out with any of the above positions, please email Celeste Skousen celestems@gmail.com

Thanks so much for your support,

Mother Earth Meats orders must be submitted by 7:00pm Monday
You can continue placing orders for everything else until 7:00pm Tuesday

CO-OP NEWS

Our group buy this week is from Mother Earth Meats. They provide a wide variety of pasture-raised/free-range poultry, beef, pork, and more at amazing prices. Please read all the details in the GROUP BUYS section below before you go to The Market and start ordering.

A note about membership fees: With the addition of this new website, the Melody Lane Co-op now charges a membership fee of $25 per year. This fee covers all of the little things that go on behind the scenes to get your order ready for you to pick up, including paying for office supplies, packaging materials, the power to run the co-op refrigerator, gas money/mileage for driving to meet the farmers, etc. In order to show appreciation to our existing members and help ease the transition to the new website, anyone that created (or creates) their account on the new website during the month of January is getting a discounted rate of $10 for their first year. Your membership fee will be automatically added to your 3rd order during checkout so some of you may see it this week or next week. I want to thank you in advance for supporting the Melody Lane Co-op and our efforts to make real food more accessible.

If the only reason you have come to the Melody Lane Co-op is to buy meat from Mother Earth Meats and you do not place orders for anything other than Mother Earth Meats products, I will be happy to waive the membership fee. It is not fair for me to charge a fee when the other drop off locations of the Atlanta area Mother Earth Meats buying club do not.

Have a great week!

FRESH & LOCAL

Pick up for all FRESH & LOCAL items is Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. If you need to schedule another time to pick up please contact Sandra.

As of right now the only FRESH & LOCAL items in The Market this week are from Carlton Farm. The growing season is about over for Moss Hill Farm but Floyd may still decide to post a few things here and there. I have just approved a couple of new vendors that make baked goods and other prepared dishes so hopefully they will begin posting their items soon. I will share more details about them once I get a chance to sample their food.

GROUP BUYS

This week:

Mother Earth Meats

Order deadline: Monday, January 14 – 7:00pm

Delivery: Saturday, January 26 (exact time TBD)

This is our first order with Mother Earth Meats using the new website. No more paper forms to fill out or Excel files to email. All orders for the Roswell delivery MUST be submitted through The Market. Call Sandra (770-841-3437) if you have problems placing your order.

The Mother Earth Meats order is a little bit different from most of the other items available in The Market.
Please read and understand the following before placing your order:

  • The delivery is a Saturday instead of our usual Thursday. We will not find out the exact time until a day or two before. You must be here during the delivery or make arrangements to drop off a cooler before the scheduled delivery time. As a group we order an average of 800 lbs of meat and I have no way to store all that, which is why it is important for you to be here or at least drop off a cooler ahead of time. Your meat will sit out in my carport until you come to pick it up.
  • You pay the farmer directly. He only accepts cash or check at the time of delivery (no credit cards). Please do not select “Pay Now” when you submit your order online. You can drop off payment at my house ahead of time, along with your cooler, if you know you will not be here during the delivery.
  • Order by the pound. The price you see listed is the price per pound. Enter the total number of pounds you want of a certain item and then add to cart. During checkout you can add comments if you have specific instructions. For example, if you want 2 two-pound roasts then you would add a quantity of 4 to your cart and then during checkout add a comment that you want 2 roasts at 2 lbs each. If you do not specify how you want it divided the farmer will give you whatever size packages he has that will fill your order. If you order 10 lbs of ground beef you may end up with 10 one-pound packages or 5 two-pound packages or somewhere in between. (There are two exceptions – whole chickens and beef hearts. See the item descriptions for more details)
  • Your order total at checkout is just an estimate. This is real food. Real food is not all the same size and does not naturally come in 1 lb increments. The farmer will do his best to come close to the total amount of each item that you order. In the end you may have a little more or a little less than what you ordered. Occasionally he will run out of something altogether. The price you pay on delivery day will be based on the actual weight of the meat you receive. From the time you place your order until about a day before delivery, the farmer will be working to fill all of our orders. As soon as he is finished he will email me your actual total and I will forward it on to you.
  • Please place a separate order for your Mother Earth Meats items. Since this farm requires a different delivery day and limited payment options, it will really help me keep things straight if you place one order for Mother Earth Meats products and a separate order for everything else. Thank you!

Here is some more information about Mother Earth Meats:

www.MotherEarthMeats.com
Mother Earth Meats is located in Maryville, Tennessee. They provide pastured, grass-fed, hormone-, antibiotic- and cruelty-free beef, bison, elk, goat, lamb, chicken, turkey, duck and pork, as well as other products like Druck’s raw milk cheese, organ meats, bones for broth/stock and traditional cooking fats. Most of their products are just sold locally, but they do make special trips select areas in the southeast a few times a year. We take part in their Atlanta area buying club.

I will be happy to answer any questions you have about their products, but here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:

  • There is NO sales tax or added delivery fee!

  • There are no nitrates or MSG in the uncooked sausages, fresh bacon or seasoned bacon.

  • Mother Earth Meats does not add any kind of salt or chemical washes to their meats, nor do they use gases to sterilize it.

  • Mother Earth Meats does not use any fertilizers at the farm, other than their own manure and homemade compost.

  • The chickens and turkeys are pastured/free-range and are given a limited amount of non-GMO feed which does include corn/soy.

  • Pork lard is already rendered and pork fat is not; the same is true for beef lard and fat (however, you can easily render it yourself in the oven).

  • In addition to my home in Roswell, the farmer will be delivering to a few other locations around Atlanta on the same day – see the list below. If you would like to pick up at a different location please email that coordinator for an order form. Please do not order through The Market for pick up at another location.

    Co-op News

Welcome to all the new members of the Melody Lane Co-op and thank you to everyone that switched over from the old email list. I am really excited about the direction the co-op is heading!

Many of you have expressed interest in participating in workshops so I went ahead and added some tentative dates to our calendar on the About page. First up is Bone Broth. If anyone has experience with making bone broths, I could use your help. I have plenty of practice making chicken stock but I would like to get someone to share their experience with beef and other types of broths. Email me if you are interested in helping me with an upcoming workshop.

    FRESH & LOCAL

Fresh & Local items come from local farms and are available for pick up the Thursday after you place your order.

    New this week:

    Moss Hill Farm
    www.MossHillFarm.net
Floyd Keisler sells his vegetables through a CSA program. (What is a CSA?) These are the freshest, most nutrient-dense vegetables that you will find anywhere. The farm is located in nearby Milton, Ga and almost everything we get has been picked that same day! The 2013 CSA will begin in April and he will deliver to my house again this year – if we can get enough takers. If you are interested in signing up, you’d better do it soon. Word has gotten out about how awesome his veggies are so he expects to sell out early this year. You can download a CSA Application or go to his website www.MossHillFarm.net for more details. You will have to mail your application and payment directly to Floyd at Moss Hill Farm. His contact information can be found at the top of the application and on his website.

The 2012 CSA is over and with this mild winter Floyd still has some vegetables growing out in the field. For a limited time, he is offering “shares” on a week-by-week basis. A “share” is a big basket of whatever is currently growing. You don’t get to choose the individual items, you just have to take what he gives you. There are usually at least 10 different types of vegetables in a share. Last week we got carrots, Joi Choi, collards, turnips, broccoli head with greens, Napa cabbage, Swiss chard, mustard greens, green onions, and arugula. I have added Moss Hill Vegetables shares to The Market – listed under FRESH & LOCAL.

    GROUP BUYS

Group Buy items usually come from farther away. We get a better price by buying in bulk and splitting shipping.

    New this week:

    Green Pasture
    www.GreenPasture.org
Green Pasture Products, including Fermented Cod Liver Oil and High Vitamin Butter Oil, are now listed in The Market. This is a pre-order, meaning we don’t have any of these items currently in stock so you will not be able to pick them up this Thursday. At the end of the day Tuesday I will tally up all of our orders and place one big group order with Green Pasture. It will take a week or two for it to come in. I will notify you via email once it arrives. You can come the following Thursday during normal co-op pick up hours or email me to schedule another time to pick up.

You must pay for your Green Pasture order by 7:00pm this Thursday. The easiest way to pay is with a credit card when you place your order. I can also accept cash or check at my house any time between now and 7:00pm on Thursday. There is a locked drop-box in my carport where you can leave your payment if I am not home.

Green Pasture is still limiting the number of Butter Oil containing products we can order at a time. Our buying club is limited to a total of 12 Butter Oil products per month. That includes Butter Oil and Cod Liver Oil/Butter Oil blends. Unfortunately, the most popular Cinnamon flavor blend is out of stock right now anyway. In The Market, each listing will show how many of that item is currently available. If the number is 0, either Green Pasture is sold out or we have already reached our limit. Everything in the market is sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be courteous to your fellow co-op members and do not order too many of the limited items so that everyone can have a chance to get something.

    Coming Soon:

    Mother Earth Meats
    www.MotherEarthMeats.com
I do not have an exact date yet but we will be ordering from Mother Earth Meats again soon, hopefully by the end of the month. Mother Earth Meats is located in Tennessee and provides many different types of pasture-raised and free-range meats including chicken, beef, pork, bison, lamb, duck, and more.

    WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Here is our tentative schedule for the upcoming months. I am also working on setting up some farm tours. If you have any suggestions for other topics or would like to host an event, please let me know.

    January 31st, 7-9pm – Bone Broth Workshop
    February 21st, 7-9pm – Kombucha Workshop
March 14th, 7-9pm – Raw Milk and Homemade Yogurt Workshop

Thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the freshest and the most nutrient-dense foods possible!

GRAND OPENING of the Melody Lane Co-op Market!

Thank you for being one of the first people to sign up on the new system! I really appreciate your support.

    I am excited to announce:

The Melody Lane Co-op Market is officially OPEN!

Go to The Market to place your order any time between
now and Tuesday evening for pickup on Thursday.

You now have the option to pay with a credit card! Just enter your credit card information during checkout. Your card will not be charged until Thursday evening when I “close out” the market for the week. If you prefer to pay with cash or check you can still do that on Thursdays when you come to pick up.

Pick up at my home on Thursday. Drop by any time between 3:00pm and 7:00pm.

If that does not work for you, just let me know and I will be happy to schedule a better day/time for you to come. If you have not been to my house before please call or email me to get the address.

    In the Market this week:

    Carlton Farm

We will start slow this week with just the basics from Carlton Farm as we all learn this new system. Please do NOT place your order on the Carlton Farm website as we have done in the past. I have tried to list as many of his items as I could on our new market webpage. If there is something else he offers that you would like me to pick up for you, please send me an email and I will add it to the market. You may notice that the prices are a little higher than if you buy directly from Chad Carlton. Unfortunately, we do not get a group discount from Carlton Farm as we do from most other places we order from. Now with website fees and credit card processing fees to pay, I am forced to add on a small convenience fee to Carlton Farm items. For just about everything else we order, though, you will find that we get a better price buying as a group than you can get on your own.

    Coming Soon:

    Green Pasture

I will start collecting orders next week for Green Pasture products. If you just can’t wait. Green Pasture is having a great sale right now on their Fermented Cod Liver Oil. It’s even better than our co-op pricing if you order 2 or more bottles and have it shipped directly to your door. Now is a great time to stock up.

Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions about ordering. I’m sure this new process will take some time to get used to.

    Have a great week!
