This post expired on March 13, 2023.

The Market is still fully stocked with meat from Mother Earth Meats and will remain open until Friday to make sure everyone gets a chance to order.

CO-OP NEWS

Sorry for all the emails this week. There is just so much going on, I don’t want you to miss anything!

THIS WEEK:

Our Wilderness Family Naturals order from a couple weeks ago is here. Thank you, Lauren, for taking care of that for us! I also have the rest of our Cod Liver Oil / Butter Oil from Green Pasture. If you were in on the bulk order of Olive Oil from Chaffin Orchards late last year and have not gotten your olive oil yet, I still have a couple of bottles here. I’m not sure exactly who they belong to since Lila handled this order for us. Thank you, Lila!
Stop by any time on Thursday (tomorrow) from 3:00pm to 7:00pm to pick up your stuff.

Also tomorrow is the Homemade Raw Milk Yorgurt Demonstration at my house starting at 7:00pm. I still have a couple spots available. You can RSVP at the link above or just email me if you would like to join us.

You are planning on going to the Local Weston A. Price Conference this Saturday, right? It’s a full day of traditional food lectures, workshops, free samples, and a mini farmers’ market. The Melody Lane Co-op is sharing a booth with a few other co-ops / virtual farmers’ markets where we will help people connect with a co-op or market near them. If anyone would like to volunteer to help man our booth, please let me know! I will also be leading the Farmers’ Panel where we will discuss issues that our local small farmers face and learn the right questions to ask when you are buying real food. You’ll want to bring some extra cash because there are going to be some great deals on locally grown food and traditional food products. There will even be a cod liver oil tasting table where you can try every flavor of Green Pasture’s Fermented Cod Liver Oil. Yum!

NEXT WEEK:

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for me with all this conference planning, hosting workshops in my home, and organizing the Mother Earth Meats order. I have an opportunity to go on vacation next week and I think I need it! I just need to find someone to pick up the Carlton Farm order for me next Thursday and drop it off at my house. Please email me if you can help out.

Because I will likely be out of town next week, I also need to postpone the Tallow Soap & Lotion Workshop that was previously scheduled for Thursday. I have not decided on a new date yet. If you are interested in learning how to make homemade soap and lotions with tallow, please email me with your preferred time/date. I would like to keep it on a Thursday, if possible.
