I was so wrapped up in the big meat delivery this weekend I forgot to send out the weekly email. Sorry! There is not much new to share this week so I will keep it short.
A new grower/producer has joined the co-op. Good Shepherd Herbals provides herbal teas, salves, and syrups that strenghthen and heal the body. You can find out more at www.GoodShepherdHerbals.com and look for their items in The Market in the coming weeks.
Our workshop on Fermented Vegetables is this Thursday and it seems to be very popular. It’s going to be a packed house! If you are planning on coming please RSVP as soon as possible so I can make sure to get enough supplies for everyone. Also, I have added two more workshop/demonstrations to the schedule, however they are not up on the Facebook page yet. The topics are sourdough breads and canning foods. They will both be held at my house, as usual, but will be taught by other members of the co-op. If you have a topic to share that you think may benefit others, please let me know and I will be happy to host it in my kitchen.
